Sugaring is not painless. But we give you two questions to think about:

Is this the first time you are getting epilated?

Since you have no point of comparison, we tell you since now that it is a different experience. There is pain involved because it's inevitable when hair is extracted from the root. On the other hand, sugaring hair removal is one of the gentlest hair removal methods there is. The pain lasts only a few seconds and does not persist.

Do you currently wax? Many of our clients that have got sugared with us that, has mentioned that the pain of hair removal with sugar paste is minimal or non-existent, compared to waxing.

Pain can be minimized by coming after your period ended and/or coming consistently to your maintenance.

Yes, that best results can be only achieved by working as a team. We are going to provide you all the information necessary for you to prepare properly and the on-point after care to recover without any complication. And you coming with the right length of hair, not mixing hair removal methods, being consistent and follow properly the after care indications.

The most important thing is that the hair is 5 mm (ref. the length of a grain of rice). To achieve this length, it is necessary to let your hair grow for up to 4 weeks. If your current hair removal methods are limited to razor and/or hair removal cream, it can be a whole different experience. 

Since the hair is extracted from the root, you will feel pain that lasts just a few seconds after each “flick” (lifting of sugar paste). During the service your skin might be experimenting some primary effects such as redness, itchiness, histamine reaction, bumps and/or inflammation. This can last from a couple of mins to hours. We suggest 24 hours after care to your skin to recover.

Of course. Hair removal with sugar paste is for all types of hair and skin (including sensitive ones).

Of course, no problem. If this is the case, please use a tampon or cup for intimate areas sugaring. 

It's important that you consider that one week and during your period, you will be more sensitive than normal. If you don't feel like getting sugared during your period let’s say because you experience more pain or because you are uncomfortable, we recommend you to book your service once your period ends. 

Please take note that we don't exempt from paying the service if you cancel or reschedule because your period got earlier (48 hours cancellation policy).

Hair never becomes thicker with any type of hair removal. 

Having said the above, we do want to add that when you shave, use hair removal cream or profiler, the hair grows perpendicular (itchy) and the thickest part of the hair comes to the surface (giving a thickening effect). The above will never happen with sugar hair removal, since we extract the hair from the root, which allows the hair to always grow fine with a round tip.

If you want to expose your skin for a single occasion/event (wedding, party or vacation), the ideal is to get sugared 48 hours in advance.

FYI: If you are consistent with the technique, the benefits are greater than when it is for a single occasion.

Yes. Although sugaring has very minimum restrictions, there are some to be considered. Please read the preparation section to get more information.

Secondary effects can appear if the skin has an unique type of sensibility and/or there was an improper aftercare. 

In our experience, secondary effects are very low risk to appear or non existent, if the client follow on-point our after-care guideline (provided at the end of every first time visit).

Every person is different. Being said that, in theory,  in the armpits and face it can last up to 2 weeks and 2 to 4 weeks in other parts of the body. Since each body is different, if in your particular case your hair grows slowly, it will probably take longer to grow than in someone who grows quickly.

We do not know. Each body is different and we cannot standardize that information. In addition, there are various personal factors such as: history of hair removal, hormonal changes and frequency with which you would remove hair (to mention the most important) that vary in the speed or slowness of this process.

No. The skin is the largest organ of our bodies and the capacity of stretching is very high.

Depends of what is causing the stain in your skin. If your skin gets dark because of shaving or any other method that might be irritating your skin, yes. This because the sugar paste offers a care combo to your skin where hair is extracted from the root and as well exfoliated.

No. The answer is very black and white because hormones are the only ones that can make you to grow more hair (and less as well).

Nevertheless is probable that with time, your hair gets synchronized, and that's good. Synchronized hair means more time hair free and smoother skin.
